MORTGAGE LOAN PROCESS

Here is a brief overview of the steps you'll take as you go through the mortgage loan process with KPL Select Mortgage, Inc.

We pride ourselves on our one-on-one client service as we take you along your home purchasing journey:

☐ PRE-QUALIFICATION – The KPL team will do a credit review, gather financial documentation

 and proof of income and then discuss loan options and programs right for you.

☐ APPLICATION – You will complete the application and provide required documents for loan

 approval.

☐ PROCESSING – Credit, assets and income documentation is reviewed and finances verified.

☐ UNDERWRITING – The loan package is submitted to lender by KPL Loan Processor and is

 approved or “suspended” until further documentation is provided.

☐ APPRASIAL  - An appraisal of the property is scheduled.

☐ LOCKING IN YOUR INTEREST RATE – Rate lock is determined by the length of escrow and

 estimated closing date. KPL Select Escrow, Inc. can help in this stage as well!

☐ LOAN DOCUMENTS – 1 week prior to estimated closing of escrow all conditions have been met

 and signed off by the underwriter.

☐ WALK THROUGH  - A final walk through the property with your agent to confirm all

 requirements have been met.

☐ LOAN DOCUMENT SIGNING – 5 to 7 days prior to estimated closing of escrow you sign your docs

at KPL offices.

☐ FUNDING – 3 days after signing loan documents your loan is ready to fund.  Balance of down

 payment and closing costs are required at this time.

☐ RECORDING – The day after funding, escrow prepares your file for recording with the County

 Recorder’s Office.

☐ CONGRATULATIONS -  Pack your belongings – you’re moving!
